Where is Spring Break Taking you?

The first day of Spring is approaching which means the Winter blues are slowly subsiding and cherry blossoms are starting to bloom. Spring symbolizes a new start, whether it’s fresh blooming flowers, animals awakening from hibernation, or of course, Spring Break. If you’re a parent you know Spring Break means the kids are taking a much-needed break from school, which also means you need to find some kind of activity or excursion to keep everyone busy. Or, if you’re solo, Spring Break means something very different, maybe something involving your friends and a few too many Margaritas perhaps?

Either way, this time of year calls for a vacation including sunnier skies. We put together a list of our top Spring Break destination for family-friendly travel, and for your girls' trip.

The Island of Maui

If you're looking for a family-friendly destination involving sun, sand, and culture, the island of Maui, Hawaii is a must. Maui has so much to offer from delicious fruits and seafood, to stunning beaches and swim worthy waters. It’s also rich in culture which is perfect to keep the kids learning while on a break from school. Picture waking up to the sound of waves crashing, a pleasant cup of Maui Coffee and fresh-picked pineapple.

Take the kids to play at the beach for the day, go snorkeling, or arrange for surf lessons. Whatever you do, make sure to leave a day open for the Road to Hana. Starting in Paia and ending at the Seven Sacred Pools; we recommend renting a jeep and downloading a narrated tour. Embark on this stunning road with the top down while listening to the history of Maui. It’s not all driving though, the Road to Hana offers several stunning waterfalls and beaches to stop and explore along the way which is fun for all members of your family.

The Bahamas

Whether your Spring Break holiday involves your hubby and kids, or if you’re going with the girls, the Bahamas has something to offer you. Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas and is known for its stunning powder-sand beaches with crystalline waters and warm hospitality. There’s also no shortage of activities to keep the kids busy. From spending the day at the pool to beach volleyball to exploring the islands you will have no problem finding fun activities.

We recommend having dinner at the Fish Fry to experience a true Bahamian meal made up of mouth-watering fresh fish... and don’t forget to try Conch–the national food of the Bahamas.

You can't go to the Bahamas without exploring the numerous islands that comprise this amazing destination. Swim with the sharks in shallow waters or visit "Pig Beach", an absolute must for your next Instagram selfie. The Island of Exuma is home to dozens of pigs, known as the “swimming pigs”, making for an unforgettable experience to feed and chase the piggies around. End the day at a Tiki bar and spend the rest of the evening dancing on the beach with a rum punch in hand!

Cabo San Lucas

A trip with the girls calls for a trip to Cabo! Nightlife in Cabo is notorious for clubs like Señor Frogs and Mandala. Their bright lights, tequila, and dance floors will keep you and your girls dancing the night away until the early hours of the morning. After your fun night out, pamper yourself with a stay at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel. Its unbelievable ocean-front views and sea breeze will give you instant relaxation.

Spend the day poolside with a margarita in hand, or take a boat trip out to explore the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas. This distinctive rock formation is visually stunning and incredible to see in person and of course, makes for more Instagram worthy photos. After you explore this iconic rock formation, take a stroll through town and indulge in some local cuisine. Nothing better than fresh tacos and guacamole, right!
