Trend Report: MOODY FLORALS
Moody florals? I mean… who isn’t in the mood for florals?! Florals are usually known to bring out a bright and summery glow, which is exactly why we wanted to reinvent that stereotype for our most recent collection. Amaiò tried a new approach to turn the florals on its head, making it wearable year-round - yes, even in the Winter! This new design trend is timeless. With its deep shades of purple and black with added touches of baby pink, the florals are stylish in their moody way!
Even though this trend feels new, it’s far from it as this unique style dates back to ancient times. The Egyptians, as well as many other groups in the ancient and middle age, used flowers for both design and decor, as they were delicately placed in intricate and ornate vases for almost every event around town. Roses, larkspur, and irises were most commonly used in the Egyptian culture because of the dark and mysterious shades they embody. The tradition of dark florals was then used gradually over past generations. It seems as if the concept of these florals was temporarily pushed under the rug, but the trend is back and better than ever - as here we are in 2020 using this brilliant concept in our very own couture design!
